Galatians Law Collaborative
Galatians Law Collaborative is a Christian non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. We were formed to create housing for the homeless and low-income population. Our mission is to glorify God by fulfilling our purpose of serving the homeless, feeding the hungry, and bearing the burdens of the underserved community. To do this, the Collaborative intends to purchase and construct properties to invite homeless individuals off the street and reach out to individuals and families at risk of losing their homes due to a lack of affordability. We have faith in God to help us create a place of hope and love. Christ governs us under his law, as depicted in Galatians 6:2, to carry each other's burdens; this is our guiding principle.

Jerrel Johnson
Board Member
Jerrel Johnson is not just an advocate; he is a passionate visionary poised to make a lasting impact as a board member at the Galatians Law Collaborative. Although he has not personally experienced homelessness, Jerrel has witnessed how it erodes confidence and exacerbates resource insecurity. This understanding fuels his unwavering commitment to bring about change.
Jerrel's journey is driven by a deep belief in resource stewardship. He recognizes that homelessness represents an extreme form of resource insecurity, and he is resolute in his conviction that humanity must do better in managing Earth's resources to provide for the basic needs of all: Security, food, shelter, clothing, and clean drinking water.
As a dedicated Sociology student, Jerrel has delved deep into the intricate connections between hygiene, appearance, mental health, and confidence. He understands how homelessness not only affects one's well-being but also erodes the confidence to pursue opportunities. His academic insights illuminate the far-reaching impacts of homelessness, and he is committed to breaking this cycle.
What sets Jerrel apart is his impressive professional journey. His career has been a testament to his adaptability and commitment to personal growth. With experience as a cable technician, an educator, and now as an Executive Associate to a COO, Jerrel has gained key insights into how C-Suites work. This diverse background equips him with a unique perspective to drive change effectively.
His diverse skill set, including group coordination, advocacy, communication, public speaking, leadership, and community relations positions him as a professional with the potential to drive transformative change.
As a new board member at the Galatians Law Collaborative, Jerrel's fervent hope is to bring a powerful combination of professional excellence and compassionate advocacy to the organization. He envisions a world where homelessness is no longer a harsh reality and believes that in partnership with GLC, the world will take a step in the right direction.
